Since 2002 KRU has aggressively sought opportunities, and has successfully started providing its services across the shores, to countries as far as the United States of America. As such in 2006, it extended its frontiers officially with the incorporation of KRU Singapore Pte Ltd. Since then, in addition to Singapore, KRU is now represented with local offices in Hong Kong, Indonesia, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.

The establishment of these offices is in line with its international expansion plans whereby it aims to market its current catalogue of products, produce more content in the English language and localise content for reproduction in the respective countries’ national languages.

Dr. Shireen M. Hashim

Vice President / Chief Executive Officer - International, KRU Group of Companies

Dr. Shireen graduated with a B.A. in Mathematics & Economics from Reed College, Oregon (USA), after which she obtained her M.Sc. in Management from the Arthur D. Little Management Education Institute (now known as Hult International Business School) in Massachusetts (USA). After working in Boston for a year, she left the United States of America to pursue further studies in Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science in London (UK), where she subsequently received her M.Sc. in Economics. After attaining her Ph.D. in Economics she returned home to Malaysia, where she has had a diverse career that saw her traverse various industries including research, stock broking, investment banking and finally tobacco as multinational JT International’s Regional Head of Corporate Affairs for South East Asia & India. At KRU she is responsible for the overall operations of the Group, and also heads the Group’s international business operations.

Robert Bromley

Vice President / Chief Executive Officer – UK & Sweden

Robert has over twenty-five years of global marketing, professional education, general management and business development experience, working with some of the world’s largest multinationals (including Reuters, Nortel Networks and Bank of America), as well as start-ups and spin-offs, in territories as diverse as UK, Scandinavia, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.  His central expertise is in marketing and business development (in both ‘green field’ and established markets) and driving business development to deliver improved performance and increased revenues. As the CEO of KRU Europe, Robert is responsible for managing the operations of Group’s first foray outside of the Asia-Pacific region.

Saidah Irham

Country Representative - Indonesia.

Saidah graduated from the Institut Pertanian Bogor with a B.A. in Mathematics in 2006. As Country Representative, Saidah provides strong support to the Management team so as to effectively implement the Group’s plans for its operations in Indonesia.
