Norman Abdul Halim A.M.M

Norman was exposed to the world of business at the early age of 20, after graduating with a Diploma in Accountancy from a renowned college. Armed with a vision, his first foray was in 1992 with a modest capital of RM2,000, whereupon he put to practice the knowledge he had accumulated together with his natural instincts and flair for marketing to bring KRU Capital to life and almost immediate success. Since then with his vision and strategic leadership, he has masterminded success after success, putting his unique combination of skills, talent and business acumen to the test.

His numerous achievements resulted in him receiving the Outstanding Entrepreneur Award in 2007 from the Asia Pacific Entrepreneur Awards. Today, more than fifteen years later, he has propelled the Company to the forefront of the world of media and entertainment both domestically and across foreign shores.

Norman’s expertise is sought by many other organisations as reflected by his posts in various associations including, Vice Chairman of Recording Industry Malaysia, Chairman of Anti Piracy for the Malaysian Film Producers Association, and Director on the Boards of Kuala Lumpur International Film Festival and Public Performance Malaysia. 

Dr. Shireen M. Hashim

Dr. Shireen M. Hashim

Dr. Shireen graduated with a B.A. in Mathematics & Economics from Reed College, Oregon (USA), after which she obtained her M.Sc. in Management from the Arthur D. Little Management Education Institute (now known as Hult International Business School) in Massachusetts (USA). After working in Boston for a year, she left the United States of America to pursue further studies in Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science in London (UK), where she subsequently received her M.Sc. in Economics. After attaining her Ph.D. in Economics she returned home to Malaysia, where she has had a diverse career that saw her traverse various industries including research, stock broking, investment banking and finally tobacco as multinational JT International’s Regional Head of Corporate Affairs for South East Asia & India. At KRU she is responsible for the overall operations of the Group, and also heads the Group’s international business operations.

Halina Abdul Halim

Halina possesses a B. Acc. (Hons.) from University of Malaya. An accountant by profession, she first entered the company as its Chief Financial Officer in [ ], where she was responsible for managing the corporate financial services for the Group, including treasury management, cash and investments, asset management, and internal financial reporting. Proving her mettle in both direct and management capabilities in the financial arena, she was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer – Malaysia in 2008, where she is now responsible for managing the overall business of the Group’s Malaysian operations.

Johan Lucas

Johan ventured into digital post-production with KRU Studios in 1996 where he started out as a non-linear editor, working on music videos and TV commercials. Within a year, he began directing, utilising his keen interest in CGI to inject visual effects elements into his projects. Following this he set up Flare Studios in 2000, a pioneer in the then booming animation industry, where he combined his accumulated knowledge in computer software, creative direction, production and post-production. He later became more involved in the business aspects of the industry, successfully securing distribution and commissioning deals for various animation programs. After gathering the much needed skills and experiences, he re-joined KRU in 2005, and was later appointed as Vice President Creative of KRU Studios in 2008 to lead the creative team. 

Amaludin Syukri Nasution

Amaludin or more commonly known as Archie is a highly skilled and qualified individual when it comes to the world of audio production. With more than ten years of experience in the industry, his skills set extends from song compositions, music arrangements, music scoring as well as album production. He has produced more than ten albums with household names like Anita Sarawak, Rabbani, Phyne Ballerz and Ezlynn. His involvement is not just limited to audio works but video as well. Up to date he has done music scoring for various motion pictures (including “Cicak-man”, “Qabil Khusry Qabil Igam”, “Mr. Cinderella 2”, “Mistik”, “Cinta Kolestrol”), documentaries (“Keris – The Myth & The Magic”, “Bajau Laut – Nomads of the Sea”, “Kellie’s Castle – “The Myth & Mystery”, “Melakan Portuguese – Preserving Their Heritage”) and numerous television programmes. His proven track record has led to his current appointment where he is responsible for the overall management of the Group’s studios, production and post-production facilities.
