Kuala Lumpur International Film Festival Sdn Bhd (KLIFFSB) was incorporated by a group of established entertainment companies in Malaysia, including KRU Berhad, for the purpose of organising the Kuala Lumpur International Film Festival.??KLIFFSB is entrusted and supported by the Ministry of National Unity, Culture, Arts & Heritage of Malaysia to spearhead the planning, marketing and organising of the annual film festival jointly with National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS).
Its vision is to become the most prestigious international film festival and the most successful film marketing hub in the Asian region concurrently promoting and sharing rich cultural filmed entertainment content amongst film industry practitioners and enthusiasts throughout the world.
This will be achieved through synergistic long term partnerships with the Malaysian government, foreign embassies in Malaysia, corporate sponsors, local and international media so as to provide a world class platform for co-production, film marketing and distribution for filmmakers around the world.
Norman Abdul Halim, as the Vice President of Marketing of KLIFFSB is part of the Management team and is a driving force of the film festival.
Sets & EFX
At Sets & EFX unique materials and methods are used for costume development, specially catered for all motion picture needs. Special and distinctive costumes, such as those used in “Cicak-Man”, “Duyung” and “Cicakman 2 – Planet Hitam”, were created in Malaysia by Sets & EFX. In addition, set designs, which can translate any individual motion picture director’s vision and ideas, can also be transformed into reality.
Locations Malaysia
Locations Malaysia is a one-stop centre that provides production and logistics management solutions for organisations conducting the principal photography (shoot) of their motion picture in Malaysia. Our services include, but are not limited to:-
- Hiring of local crew;
- Arrangements for accommodation for cast and crew;
- Arrangements for transportation for cast, crew and equipment;
- Catering;
- Ambulance services;
- Identification and securing of filming locations in Malaysia; and
- Liaising with the Malaysian authorities to obtain permits and licences.
